Lacrosse equipment is vital to the protection of the player. Whether playing non-contact local league lacrosse, or high-performance representative travel lacrosse, properly functioning and fitting equipment ensures that the player is kept safe during play.

Required Equipment

  • helmet with cage
  • mouth guard
  • shoulder pads
  • slash guards (molded hockey elbow pads recommended for peanuts to prevent injury from falls)
  • kidney pads (required for paperweight and paperweight select)
  • athletic support cup or jill strap
  • basketball or court shoe (important to avoid slipping on the floor)
  • gloves (hockey gloves would work, but lacrosse are preferred)
  • stick (minimum length for peewee and under is 34")
