Interested in Officiating Lacrosse?

Prospective officials must be at least second year U15. They must then attend a certification clinic run by the Ontario Lacrosse Association before being able to step on the floor.

MBLA, officials start by learning from experienced officials in our house league system. Here they learn the fundamentals of officiating and begin their development into well-rounded officials. Those who show clear dedication and competency may then be chosen to referee at the representative level.


Before taking the officiating course, timekeeping is a great spot to start as a means to learn the officiating side of the game. Regardless of playing experience, the officials seat is completely different than that of a player. Get started as a time keeper in preparation for moving into a full fledged official.
